Criterion Broadcast Services is well equipped to diagnose and repair most broadcast technical problems on-site. The company offers its clients one of the most extensive assortments of diagnostic test equipment in the midwest, including:
Tektronix 2710 RF Spectrum Analyzer, configured for real-time RF
sweeps of 10 kHz-2 GHz, with both hard copy and Polaroid documentation.This analyzer fully
meets the FCC requirements for the NRSC-2 RF mask measurements required yearly for all AM stations;
Tektronix TM-500 series portable audio test system, consisting of dual
trace scope, precision digital voltmeter with dB readout,audio oscillator, and frequency counter.
Certified frequency measurements to 1.0 GHz are available;
Tektronix 5L4N Audio Spectrum Analyzer, configured for real-time
audio sweeps of 20 Hz-20 kHz on broadcast RF systems, with Polaroid oscilloscope camera
for documentation of test results;
Tektronix 1503 Time-Domain Analyzer for resolving problems in transmission line cables and connectors. This unit has a built-in chart recorder to provide a printed verification of distance to the fault;
Potomac Instruments QA-100 Audio Processing Analyzer, which
allows quantitative measurement of your audio processing in comparison to competitive stations;
PACE portable desoldering equipment for professional service work on
printed circuit boards and modular assemblies
Business support systems include computer-generated test reports
incorporating spectrum analyzer data for FCC proofs, and notebook PCs with on-site software
programming for Gentner VRC/Burk remote control systems and satellite receivers. Office computing systems include word processing with laser printer output, on-line membership to the Dataworld FCC/broadcast data base, and an on-line subscription to FCC Rules and Regulations.
